Similar vehicle means your rental vehicle  will fullfil the requirements of the vehicle  class and vehicle type you booked. Our camper vans are not brand new, but well maintained and in very good condition.

Yes, we offer FREE pick-up service to our customers in the greater Reykjavik area and Keflavik international airport.  Our employee will pick you up and give you a ride to our office to pick-up your rental car.  This service is available every day from 8:00 - 18:00.

NO, we do NOT offer drop-off service to Keflavik international airport.  We DO offer FREE drop-off service WHITHIN the greater Reykjavik area.  Most of our clients go to a hotel / motel in Reykjavik or the Central Bus Station where you can the the Fly-Bus to Keflavik airport.

Confirmation e-mail should arrive to customer no later than 24 hours after booking took place. If you have not received confirmation, please check the follwing:

No, - we are only open for pick-up and return everyday from 8:00 - 18:00.

Yes you can make changes any time you want.  Please let us know soon as possible by sending us an e-mail to book@happycampers.is.  Remember to include your reservation number which you can find in the confirmation e-mail.  There are no changes fee.

Yes, you can cancel your reservation at any time.  Just let us know soon as possible.  There are no cancelation fee.

No, you do not have to pay anyting in advance.  All bookings are paid on arrival.

No, you do not NEED a sleeping bag, but........ included in the rental price is all beddings, sheet, pillow, pillow case, blanket and duvet/comforter. For some people the duvet/comforter is not enough for warm nights. Therefore we reccommend you to take your own sleeping bag with you so you will not be cold during the nights.  You can also rent sleeping bags from us if you do not have your own.

Minimum rental is 3 nights.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is included in the rental price. 

Collision Damage Waiver ( CDW ) is included in the rental price which limits the lessee´s / drivers liability to a certain amount. The liability amount is Iskr. 200.000,- for each accident.  Please review the terms & conditions before booking a rental car.

Super Collision Damage Waiver ( SCDW ) reduces the lessee´s / driver´s liability further than CDW.  The libility amount reduces from Iskr. 200.000,-  to Iskr. 60.000,- for each accident. This is an optional uppgrade of the CDW insurance. 

Gravel Protection ( GP ) is an optional damage waiver which covers damages to the front wind screen, headlights and the car body when gravel or rocks get thrown at the rental car by anothre car.

Theft Protection (TP) is included in our basic insurance, Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). Terms and conditions of the CDW insurance can be found at our website.  CDW is a Motor hull insurance that compensates for example for the damage, destruction and loss of the vehicle.  CDW does not cover personal belongings lost, damaged or stolen.

No, a valid national driver´s license is sufficient.

We have 24hour roadside assistance available at all time.  Just call our number +354 821 6386 or + 354 821 4386 and we will find a solution to your problem as soon as possible. 

If the rental car is not returned with a full tank of fuel, then we will charge the renter for the fuel + fee for filling it up.

All rentals are paid on arrival.  Payment is by credit card only and the credit card is charged when you pick up the car.

No, we only accept credit cards.

Our employee will wait for you in the arrival hall at the airport, holding a sign with the Happy Campers logo and your name on it. Please approach our employee and tell him/her your name.  They will take you by the shuttle bus to our office in Reykjavik, approx. 30 - 40 minute drive from the airport.

No, if you arrive after opening hours, you need to go to a hotel/motel for that night.  We will then pick you up the next morning and drive you to our office in Reykjavik.  We reccommend Bed & Breakfast Keflavik airport.    http://www.bbkeflavik.com/   They will pick you up at the airport at any time and the motel is loceted only 3 minutes away from the airport.
